About four years ago, Martin, having spent years playing music, and singing in various line-ups, was playing solo but was undecided about continuing so. He contemplated gathering a band of old-timers (!!) and calling them ‘Last Gasp’, or maybe recording an album himself.

The album won the toss, and it was during this process that daughter Ali, popped her head around the door and offered to be a ‘backing singer’! Coming as a complete surprise that eldest daughter could sing, Martin quickly realised that rather than look for new partners, he already had one he’d made earlier!
