‘Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary …’

Looking for a challenge to carry you through the winter months? Then this could be the answer! Following the success of our From the Heart Poetry Recital 2020, we’ve decided to organise another, and we’d love it if you took part.

All you have to do is pledge to learn a published poem by heart (not your own) and then recite it in front of an audience at a celebratory Portsmouth Bookfest 24 event.

From the Heart 2024, hosted by Janet Ayers and Maggie Sawkins, will take place at the Hunter Gatherer Cafe in Albert Road, Southsea on Saturday 24th February from 7pm onwards.

A rehearsal or two will be arranged before the big night!
